Shri Sanjay Sethi commends Allcargo for boosting employability opportunities for youth in the logistics sector

Shri Sanjay Sethi, Chairman, JNPT, commended Allcargo Logistics Ltd. for boosting the employability opportunities of needy youth in India through skill development programmes and industry training courses related to the logistics sector. On January 20, Shri Sethi was on a visit to Allcargo’s Multi-Skill Development Centre at Bokadvira, Uran, run under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) in collaboration with JNPT and CIDCO. He launched the new batches of Consignment Tracking Executive and Inventory Clerk courses, along with inaugurating two new training labs. He took a round of the Centre along with other dignitaries and inspected the classroom, reception, counselling room, placement cell, training laboratories, Smart Labs, and other facilities. He also distributed certificates to students who have started working after successful completion of the training.

We reiterate our commitment to building a robust human resource pool for Indian logistics with an emphasis on industry training and skill development,” stated Dr. Nilratan Shende, GM - CSR, Allcargo Logistics Ltd.
The JNPT-CIDCO-Allcargo Skill Development Centre has been approved by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) as a PMKK Centre. It is a state-of-the-art Centre for imparting skill-based training to needy youth and improving their job prospects in the logistics sector under the PMKK initiative. Starting its first batch in June 2019, the Allcargo Skill Development Centre imparts skill trainings in six logistics courses such as Heavy Vehicle Driver, Consignment Booking Assistant, Consignment Tracking Executive, Documentation Assistant, Inventory Clerk and Warehouse Picker.
