Shri Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman, JNPT inaugurated the ‘New Training Sessions’ for the students of the JNPT Multi Skill Development Center, created under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra program. The launch of the new batch of Consignment Tracking Executive 3, Consignment Tracking Executive 4 and Inventory Clerk 4 will be an added benefit to the students as the logistic sector is estimated to witness an increase in total workforce from current 21 million to over 31 million by year 2022.

JNPT –CIDCO- Allcargo Skill Development Center is approved by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) as a PMKK center, a state of art center for skilling under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The center will provide and impart proper technical training in different disciplines to PAPs and people in nearby areas in order to create suitable skilled labor force to cater to the diverse requirements of maritime logistics and other allied industries.
