REJOICING IN THE RAINS
Every year in monsoons earth gets a little more greener with help of Avvashya Foundation’s project- Maitree. Over 6.5 lacs fruit bearing trees has provided livelihood to the farmers.
After the scorching heat of the summer, the monsoons have finally heralded their presence with heavy showers in a number of states across the country.
It’s time for farmers to tend to their lush fields and hills and forests to turn dense green. There’s a fragrance of wet soil in the air, with new blossoms and saplings inspiring hope everywhere.
These may be trying times but nature’s still at her very best. We must take our lesson too. Wash off the negativity and look ahead with motivation to live each moment to its fullest. Through our initiative Maitree, we have been doing our bit for the environment and society by planting fruit-bearing trees in Maharashtra’s tribal regions.
These trees add to the Earth’s green cover and provide a source of livelihood to farmers who tend to them and sell the produce.
