Our colleagues at Mundra CFS champion the cause of education
As part of the ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’, several primary schools have been set up in and around Mundra in Kachchh, the largest (area- wise) district of India.
When some of our Allcargo colleagues, as part of the Sahyog Welfare Association Mundra (a registered Trust established by the employees of Allcargo), visited one of the schools with an intention to do something for the children, they found that the children had no study material. Thinking that this non-availability of study material was an exception for that particular school, the team visited a total of 18 primary schools in and around Mundra, including one government-run Hindi medium school for the children of the migrant labourers. Out of these 18, our colleagues at Mundra identified the four most deprived primary schools and volunteered to donate study material to the children.
The volunteers experienced the joy of making a positive difference as this noble activity brought a lot of cheer to the underprivileged children. The team has decided to donate study material to a few schools like these every year and continue spreading smiles. Kudos to their heartwarming effort!
